What you can expect from working with Dolmen
A career move deserves more than a conversation about your current salary and notice period.
At Dolmen Recruitment, you work directly with Hugh Murray. We take time to understand your experience, what matters to you and what would make a new opportunity worth considering.
A conversation about your goals
We discuss your responsibilities, strengths and achievements, alongside what you want from your next role.
That includes the working environment, leadership, progression, remuneration and practical arrangements that matter to you. You do not need to have decided to leave your current role before getting in touch.
Discretion and control over introductions
We seek your agreement before introducing you to an employer.
Before you decide, we discuss the opportunity and share the information available about the business, responsibilities and hiring process. You can ask questions, raise concerns or decide that a role is not for you.
Practical advice on your CV
We help you present the experience most relevant to the opportunity, with clear responsibilities, achievements and examples of your contribution.
The aim is to make your experience easier to understand and assess, while keeping your CV an accurate reflection of your career.
One-to-one interview preparation
Before an interview we arrange through Dolmen, we take time to help you prepare.
We discuss the role, the company and the interview format, and help you identify relevant examples from your experience. We also explore the questions you should ask to assess whether the opportunity meets your expectations.
Preparation should help you have a confident, useful conversation and make your own judgement about the business.
Clear communication and honest feedback
We keep you informed as the process develops, seek feedback after interviews and share what we can.
Where a decision or feedback is delayed, we follow up and explain where things stand. We also welcome your feedback: your interest and concerns matter throughout the process.
Support when an offer arrives
We help clarify the package, responsibilities, start date and any outstanding questions so you can consider the offer properly.
The decision is yours. Our role is to provide useful information and candid advice, without pressure to accept an opportunity that does not make sense for you.
